Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. January 27th is the day that Soviet troops arrived in Auschwitz and liberated the Jews being held there. Every year, the United Nations takes a moment to remember those who died at one of the lowest points in human history and work so nothing like this happens again. Ever.
For those of us who are pro-life, this day has special meaning for us. Because there is a modern holocaust happening right around us, and we need to take a lesson from history.
Sources say that a baby is aborted every 24 seconds in the US. That means that there will probably be three lives lost just in the time it took to read this blog post. Abortion is America is truly tragic; and it’s not just because it’s a number.
There are lots of things we need to get right to turn the tide of abortion in America. One of the first is education. Just like survivors of the holocaust, we need to tell the stories of abortion. More than a number; we must give abortion a face.
