The Pro-Life movement saw a huge victory this week: Susan G. Komen for the Cure announced that it will end its funding for abortion giant, Planned Parenthood.
According to Komen, the organization has ceased their relationship with Planned Parenthood because of Congress’s ongoing investigating of PP. Cecile Richards, CEO of Planned Parenthood has called the “break-up” disappointing and has expressed her desire to continue working with the breast cancer charity.
In early 2011, Pro-Life activist group Live Action, led by their President, Lila Rose, made recorded phone calls to many Planned Parenthood facilities across the nation, posing as women wanting to schedule mammograms at their local Planned Parenthood. The recordings revealed that no Planned Parenthood has capabilities to perform breast exams, and that the organization has to send women elsewhere to receive their mammogram.
